Centre Director Prof. Joseph Sobol has published a new article on the adaptation of traditional tales to contemporary settings, along with an original example of the genre entitled "Old Stir Frye" (PDF) now available online in Gramarye, the Journal of the Chichester University Centre for Fairy Tales, Fantasy and Speculative Fiction.

The article is part of Joseph’s ongoing research into the storytelling creative process, adaptation, and narrative structure. It is a follow up to "Adaptive Occasions," published in 2019 in Journal of American Folklore.
