We are delighted to announce that ABMU Health Board and the University of South Wales are leading on this project with a range of partners including University of Wales Trinity St Davids, Sewansea Council and the National Waterfront Museum towards the conference ‘Storytelling for Health 2: Patient Stories’, which will take place on 27th, 28th and 29th June 2019. We will be narrowing the focus slightly for this conference to look at how patient experiences are captured, presented and understood through story. We hope this will make for some provocative and productive conversations.

For more information on the conference visit https://www.artsinhealth.wales/conference.html.

We are also working together on a special edition of Storytelling, Self and Society on the theme of Storytelling for Health to be published in 2019.

This collaboration builds on our existing Storytelling for Health project which culminated in the Storytelling for Health conference in 2017.

Outcomes

  • Storytelling for Health 2: Patient Stories conference
  • Special edition of ‘Storytelling Self and Society’
  • Strong working partnership between ABMU and GEECS.
